This still life was drawn entirely with colored pencil, based on a real-life setup of glass jars filled with vibrant, dyed liquids. Each jar captures the way color, light, and transparency interact—challenging me to layer and blend in a way that mimics reflections, refractions, and depth. Set against toned paper, the piece plays with contrast and highlights the vivid hues while emphasizing the softness of pencil as a medium.
